    This problem is not specific to Teams. I am having the same issue on all Microsoft 365 Office apps. Completely blocked and can't use the desktop apps on my Mac. That login prompt is exactly what I am getting. Microsoft please give a solution asap.

    Dear Jeffrey,

    Thanks for your update!

    If clearing the cache did nto work, would you please try clearing your credentials in Key Chain:
    a. Start Keychain Access: Select the Finder application,
    b. click Utilities on the Go menu, and then double-click Keychain
    Access. Find Microsoft Teams Identities Cache and delete it.
    Reboot the computer.
    Restart the app and try again.

    At the same time, I did some further resarch on this issue, and found many people have ever encountered this problem but did not have a resolution. It might be there are some backend issue either with Okta service or Microsoft teams. In this situation, if you are using Microsfot365 business subscriotion, would you please contact your tenant admin to go to Office 365 Admin Center-> Support-> New Service Request. The support engineers there have the correct escalation channel, and this is the most efficient way to report such issue. You can refer to this article to check the way how to raise a ticket: Ways to contact support for business products - Admin help. The engineers in related team have higher permission and resources than us to help check the root cause from background directly.

    Hope the information can help. Your understanding is highly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Sherry many thanks for the reply. Here were my actions and the net results;

    1. Opened teams on my Mac Mini M2. Here's the prompt received;

    Steps 2 and 3: No picture for me as a user presented or available, No "Sign out" option available.

    I had to Force Quit the application to remove the prompt and "Close" the application from Step 4 instruction

    Performed steps 5, 6, and 7.

    For step 8, only the "Blob_storage" and Cache" folders existed - I deleted both. "Application Cache" was not present.

    Step 9 - Opened "Local Storage" folder, no "okta" file names existed in this folder.

    1. Shutdown mini and restarted.

    Opened Teams after shutdown and received the same prompt as above.

    Jeff

    Dear Jeffrey,

    Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

    Based on your description, you want to know how to remove the old employer's Office 365 Okta login prompt from your personal install of Teams on a Mac mini M2.

    For this issue, would you please try the steps below:

    1. Open Teams on your Mac mini M2.
    2. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the Teams window.
    3. Select "Sign out" from the drop-down menu.
    4. Close the Teams application.
    5. Open the Finder application on your Mac mini M2.
    6. Click on "Go" in the top menu bar and select "Go to Folder".
    7. Type "~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams" in the text field and click "Go".
    8. Delete the "Application Cache", "Blob_storage", and "Cache" folders.
    9. Open the "Local Storage" folder and delete any files that contain "okta" in the file name.
    10. Restart your Mac mini M2 and open Teams again.

    This should remove the old employer's Office 365 Okta login prompt from your personal install of Teams on your Mac mini M2.
