I have a bunch of drawn lines on a Word document, and I grouped them so I could move them together. I now need to modify the lines and can't ungroup them - the group/ungroup button is grayed out even though I have the group selected. I should be able to ungroup them by Shape/Ungroup. Please help!

    Hello,

Thank you for posting here in Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble ungrouping your drawn objects in Word. I'd be more than glad to assist you on this.

I want to have a better view of your concern, with that I may need to ask few questions:

Here are some steps you can try to ungroup them:

    1. Make sure that you have selected the group of objects that you want to ungroup. You can do this by clicking on the group.
    2. Right click the group and press G and U on your keyboard to ungroup.
    3. If the above steps don't work, try copying the objects and pasting them into a new document. Then, try ungrouping them in the new document.
    4. Make sure your Office is up to date: Install Office updates - Microsoft Support
    5. Run a Quick Repair on your Office application: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support

If none of these steps work, please let me know and we can explore other options.

    Best regards,

    Arquel C.
