Sources that were cited do not appear as "cited source" in the "current list"

Hi team,
I'm using the "citations & bibliography" function to insert citations ("insert citation" --> selecting a source). Even though a citation is edited, the citation only appears as plain text and the tickmark next to the source in the "current list" does not appear next to the source, indicating that it was actually cited.

Can you advise on how to fix that?

Dear Rhoda,

thanks for the quick reply. I managed to solve the issue.

The problem was related to the fact that the Word document, that I was working in, disabled all macros. With disabled macros, the citation function does not work and citation are not recognised as cited sources.
