A family of Microsoft relational database management systems designed for ease of use.
"No one in an enterprise environment is going to use Access in any event. It was made for casual (read family) users."
Really?
One of the benefits of a 25+ year career working with clients in the Fortune 500, and clients with fewer than 20 users, is that I got the chance to implement Access relational database applications for a wide range of organizations, large and small. I retired 8 years ago, but I can't imagine that every one of those organizations has thrown away all of their existing enterprise-level Access relational database applications.
But I'll defer to the greater current knowledge of Access developers, like Karl, still making a good living serving the needs of their clients with Access relational database applications. Not all of whom can possibly be "family users".
