Install Intel VMD driver into Windows 10 system afterwards. Intel CPU 13th Gen. with NVMe

Hi,

I have installed a Win10 system on NVMe SSD without enabling the Intel RST/VMD controller in the bios.

Now I would like to install it later, but as soon as the VMD controller is activated in the bios, the system no longer boots (inaccessible boot device). Even in safe mode!

How can I reinstall the VMD driver?

Regards,
Jackson

    Hello

Thank you for posting in our Q&A forum.

If the VMD controller is activated in the BIOS, the system cannot boot due to the lack of the VMD driver.

Try using WinPE and Dism++ for the integrated driver:

Using M$ DISM from a WinPE

    dism /image:Y:\ /add-driver /driver:X:"Driver path""Driver_name".inf

    Y: is the Windows partition

X: Is the drive with "Driver_name".inf and all other files
