How to share OneNote Notebooks between Work (Sharepoint) and Personal (OneDrive) accounts.

Thanks for posting back and confirming the scenario with us.

Considering that you are sharing a notebook created in your OneDrive personal site, this is the reason it shows up under "OneDrive.live.com" when you open the shared notebook with your work account. The URL shows the location where the notebook located in.

If you share the notebook from your OneDrive for Business with your work account, and open with your personal account, the URL will show up as sharepoint.com.

We're afraid that there's no out of box way to change this currently. If you're willing, you may need to move the notebook from your personal account to your work account as a workaround.

Starting from my personal account on OneDrive, I create a new Notebook called "Test Notebook". I then share it with my work email address.

Going to my work laptop, I find an email sharing the document...

Which opens in onedrive.live.com for me to edit.

But if I try to go to the online OneNote app...

It prompts me to log in and tells me I have no Microsoft account...

Of course I do have a work Microsoft account via SharePoint. When I go to onedrive.live.com/login and enter my work email address, it sends me to a OneDrive account at [CompanyName]-my.sharepoint.com, which has no record of a shared Notebook.

I would like to share Test Notebook with this work account. So my question is how can someone outside my company share an Office document with me, such that it can be accessed via my company's Office365 account?

Generally, we can share the notebook with external account, work account, or personal account based on the sharing settings and via the steps shared in below official article.

We'd recommend you open the OneNote notebook in browser's InPrivate mode to check the outcome. If the issue still persists, please take a screenshot and share with us. Please also share some screenshots of "such that it shows up on SharePoint?" for a better understanding.
