Dear Ms./Mr.

I got the following notification when trying to synchronize a note book to one drive.

OneNote can't connect to the server. Sync will resume once we connect. You don't need to take any action. (Error code: 0xE000006B blg57)

I can access the latest contest of the notebook from website.

Would you help advice how I can close this problem?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Wang RD

    Dear Wang RD,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and would like to confirm whether you are able to see all the changes you have made in the Notebook via OneNote application when you view it in the OneNote for the web.

If yes, then please try to clear the cache folder of your OneNote application and check the outcome:

Note: Before you perform the steps below, please make sure backup any changes that are not synced because the below steps will remove the changes which are not synced.

Step 1: Open the OneNote app> File> Info> Click Settings on the Notebook> Close this Notebook> Perform the same steps for every Notebook opened in the OneNote app> Quit OneNote app.

Step 2: Open the File Explorer> Go to the following location “C:\Users\Folder with username of your profile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0”> Move the Cache folder to the Desktop.

Step 3: Restart your PC> Open the OneNote app> Open the Notebooks and check the outcome.

If still the same issue, please check whether your OneNote app is up to date: Open the OneNote app> File> Account> Update Options> Update Now.

If it’s up to date, then please confirm whether the problem is happening on a specific Notebook or all Notebooks?

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia

    Dear Ms/Mr

Thanks a lot for your quick answer. I tried another approach to resolve the problem:

    1. Check “sync automatically whenever they are changed” while right click and open “Notebook sync status”
    2. File->open a note book

    They’re automatically synchronized.

I wonder whether above is with the same function as the following advised steps or I shall follow the following steps to close the problem finally.

    Best regards,

    Wang RD
