how to transcribe a recorded audio to text in Word on a Mac ?

Hello,

I have a Mac and a Microsoft Word account through my university.

I want to transcribe a recorded audio to a text on Word, but when I click on the dictaphone icon, the option "transcribe"doesn't appear. I only have the "dictate" option.

The Word version is 365.

Can you tell me why I can't transcribe a recorded audio to text ?

    There sure is. Depending on whether you're using the Classic Ribbon or the Single Line Ribbon it's presented on the Home tab a bit differently.

    On the Classic Ribbon the Dictate tool is more recognizable:

    If using the Single Line Ribbon click the ellipsis [⋯] at the extreme right end of the Home tab to open a menu of features:

    This does not work as there is no Translate option from the Home dropdown

    Note: This option is only available on the web version via Chrome!

    Via the safari browser you can't find this. That's why I was looking for that so long.

    Same thing happened to me. Dictate option wasn't there when I was logged in through Safari. Tried logging in through Chrome, and it was there.

    Hello,

    Thank you for coming to the forum. To transcribe you will need to use Word online.

    Go to office.com and log into it with your Office 365 univeristy credentials and then click Word to launch Word web.

    There you can click Home > Dictate then Transcribe
