Why only has Hindi Mangal complex unicode script been a productive language for every app in Nepal country as Neplese Nepali language ? instead it Why haven't Kalimati unicode script font, Preeti font and kantipur font been as a microsoft productive language in every search engine and for every app? Mangal script is only of Indian but not of Nepal. Kalimati font or preeti font is productive Nationality only of Nepal. Mangal has been mistakenly maximised as Nepali language font. It is obligation to use Mangal script as Nepali language in Nepal. It is because we have not got Kalimati or Preeti Nepali unicode script as our own productive microsoft systematic script.I have installed Kalimati unicode charactered Font but Its not working ... instead after choosing Kalimati font its getting typed in Mangal every times is irritable thing . and at the font folder and in online internet search engine and in evey online application as reginal language too in the preview its not showing Nepali Kalimat font..its showing Mangal Hindi only.

Kalimati, Preeti, Kantipur, all these are TrueType fonts. They are not Unicode fonts.

Unicode is a standardized character encoding that allows different languages and systems to represent text consistently. TrueType fonts, on the other hand, are specific font families with their own internal encoding schemes. While TrueType fonts can be mapped to Unicode, this requires additional effort and may not always be accurate or consistent.

Mangal, as a Unicode font, it natively supports the Unicode character set, making it more compatible with various platforms and applications.

The use of TrueType fonts like Kalimati and Preeti can create compatibility issues and lead to inconsistencies in text rendering. This can be a major challenge for developers and users, especially in today's interconnected world.

    Hi Nabaraj Upadhyaya

    Thanks for getting back.

I understand your concern regarding the Nepali unicode complex script and language options in Microsoft products. Microsoft 365 and Office - Other - For home - Translator do support Nepali language and unicode complex script. However, the font and script options may vary depending on the operating system and software version being used.

Thank you for going to address mu concern. I would like to see more Nepali unicode complex script as well as Nepali language as machinary app productive systemic language. It issue of wrong maximiser that language option Nepali in Nepal country but font, complex script is in Indian Hindi font of next country. Its opposite of Constitution of Nepal. Its because the constitution of Nepal has allocated, allowed, assigned and pointed only Kalimati unicode script or preet font only as official task language in Nepal. But not Indian Mangal font. It is only our obligation to use it in Nepal. The numbers size and design is different from Nepal and Nepali number desgination . Like १,५,८ etc of Mangal script. Mongal font is most bold too than Preeti font or Kalimati unicode complex script.

    Hi Nabaraj Upadhyaya

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community forum. I hope you're doing well.

I understand your frustration with the limited availability of Nepali fonts in Microsoft products. The reason why Hindi Mangal Unicode script is more widely available than other Nepali fonts is because it is a more commonly used font in the region. However, I can certainly understand why you would prefer to use Kalimati or Preeti Nepali Unicode script instead.

It is possible that the use of Hindi Mangal complex Unicode script as the productive language for every app in Nepal country as Nepalese Nepali language is due to its popularity and ease of use. However, I understand that you would like to see more options available.

I would suggest sending out feedback directly to Microsoft on this issue. They may be able to provide more information on why certain fonts are used over others and what steps can be taken to address your concerns. We’d love to hear from you about what’s working well, what’s not, and any ideas for improvements including possible new features and functions. How do I give feedback on Microsoft 365? - Microsoft Support

    Sincerely
