Is there a way to see the end position of several shapes after animations on PowerPoint for Mac? I thought there was a way to do this on PowerPoint for PC. I also have access to PowerPoint on SharePoint online, if this feature is available there instead.

SOLVED: I downloaded a third-party add-in, BrightSlide, which has a feature that allows you to see the end position of a shape after an animation.

Sorry I'm late to the party & perhaps the add-in offers some additional benefits but I'm not sure you need it for the purpose you described.

The only Animation Effect which relocates an animated object is Path Animation. You can view the result by viewing the slide in Slide Show View & running the animation(s). The animated element will remain in their ending location as long as you continue to view the slide.

Also, Stacy's instruction was incorrect. It should be to select the animation in the Animation Pane then click the ►Play From* button at the top of the Pane. However, that only provides for previewing the effect. The object returns to the starting point once the animation completes. [It will be Play All if no item in the list is selected]

The preview also can be run from the Preview tool at the left end of the Animations tab.

Hi, thanks for your response. However, there is no arrow next to any of the animations (Step 5 of your answer). This is the case for me for both SharePoint online and on PowerPoint for Mac.

    Dear Keith Topper

According to your desription, please try the following steps to see the outcome:

    1. Select the shapes that you want to see the end position of.
    2. Click on the "Animations" tab in the ribbon.
    3. In the "Animations" group, click on "Animation Pane".
    4. The Animation Pane will appear on the right side of the screen. It will show all the animations that are applied to the selected shapes.
    5. Click on the arrow next to the animation that you want to see the end position of.
    6. The end position of the shape will be displayed in the "End" field.

This feature is also available in PowerPoint for PC and PowerPoint on SharePoint online.

    Regards,

    Stacey
