Need help logging out of the OneDrive Personal app in all devices for all active sessions

I found out that I forgot to logout out of an acquaintances' computer and need to logout remotely. It was a Mac and I have no way of contacting them. Want to ensure all sessions are logged out. I have recently changed my passwords and set up 2-factor auth and also did the functionality to logout of everywhere in 24 hours. Even though I did all of this, it did not log me out of my phone OneDrive app so I'm suspicious it worked.

Thanks for your response. I have tried all of the above. It does not show that the OneDrive app on my phone is on the list of devices and when I do the Sign Out Everywhere, it does not sign me out of the OneDrive app on my phone, even after the 24 hours have passed. I'm using my phone as the proxy to see if it would work elsewhere. I have tried changing my password and even adding 2-factor authentication. I'm a bit suspicious it has worked across all apps where I'm signed into my Microsoft account, which is what I'm trying to get done but the Sign Out Everywhere is not really doing it's apparent job.

Could you please check if you have used same account to login in all your devices including your phone?

If you have changed the password, you would have logged out of the session.

    Thanks, Ravi

    Hello Jose,

If you have selected "sign out everywhere:, it suppose to clear the account login. If you're not sure, please login into your Microsoft account and remove or unlick the devices mapped to your account. Go to the Devices Tab and click on the device to unlink. Check the history of your account activity by opening below link and clicking on " Security "and selecting" Check recent activities ".

    https://account.microsoft.com/account/Account?ru=https%3A%2F%2Faccount.microsoft.com%2F&destrt=home-index

Also if you suspect your account would be compromised, please try changing the password.

    1. Go to Recover your account and type in the email address, phone number, or Skype name you use to sign in. Then select Next. https://account.live.com/password/reset
    2. We'll ask where you'd like to get your security code. Select Next.
    3. Type the requested information and select Send code.
    4. Type the security code into Verify your identity, then select Next.
    5. Type in your New password. Then confirm it by typing it again into the Re-enter password field.

    Thanks & Regards, Ravikumar

    Hi Sola,

Thanks for the response. I have tried some of these options and I no longer have access to the other device (acquaintances' computer) so I won't be able to use the last option unfortunately. I'm using my phone as the proxy to see if these options work. However, when I tried the Sign out Everywhere feature the past couple of days, it did not log me out of the OneDrive app on my phone. Also, the remove devices option does not show me for example that I'm logged into the OneDrive app on my phone so it doesn't give me the option to remove my phone as a device and it also doesn't show the device I want to disconnect from which is this acquaintances' computer.

I was hoping the Sign me out of Everywhere feature would work, but I'm suspicious it worked because it did not work on my phone.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Jose

    Hi Cevicheman,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,

There are some possible solutions to log out of the OneDrive Personal app on all devices:

    • Use the **Sign Out Everywhere** option in your Microsoft account. This will sign you out of all devices and services where you are signed in with your Microsoft account, including OneDrive Personal. To use this option, follow these steps:
      • Go to the Microsoft account website and sign in with your Microsoft account.
      • In the upper right corner, click the Account icon (this may display as your profile image), and then click Profile.
      • On the Profile page, click the Sign Out Everywhere link.
      • Confirm that you want to sign out everywhere and click Yes.
    • Use the **Remove device** option in your Microsoft account. This will remove the device where you are signed in to your Microsoft account from your account's device list, and sign you out of OneDrive Personal on that device. To use this option, follow these steps:
      • Go to the Microsoft account website and sign in with your Microsoft account.
      • In the upper right corner, click the Account icon (this may display as your profile image), and then click Devices.
      • On the Devices page, find the device that you want to remove and click Show details.
      • Click Manage and then click Remove device.
      • Confirm that you want to remove the device and click Remove.
    • Use the **Uninstall** option on your device. This will uninstall the OneDrive Personal app from your device and sign you out of OneDrive Personal on that device. To use this option, follow these steps:
      • On your device, find the OneDrive Personal app and tap and hold it until it starts to jiggle.
      • Tap the X icon on the app and confirm that you want to delete it.
      • Go to the App Store and download the OneDrive Personal app again.
      • Sign in with your Microsoft account and sync your files and folders.

Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

    Regards, Sola
