Hello,

Office 2019 and Project 2019 went corrupt on my Windows 10 PC. I want to reinstall Office but cannot find the disk. I do see the Office 2019 and the Project in my Registry. I have the product Key for Project; so I am not worried about this. The Office is the license that worries me. Is the Product Key under the Install ID tab in my Registry? Thank you.

    Hi Lou_,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,

To reinstall Office 2019, you don't need a disk or a product key. You just need to sign in to your Microsoft account that you used to activate Office 2019 and download the setup file from there. Here are the steps to do that:

    • Go to office.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Locate your Office 2019 license on that page and click the Install button.
    • Run the setup file as administrator and follow the instructions.
    • Open any Office application and activate it over the internet.

To reinstall Project 2019, you need to enter your product key that you have. Here are the steps to do that:

    • Go to setup.office.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Enter your product key and select your country and language.
    • Click the Install button and download the setup file for Project 2019.
    • Run the setup file as administrator and follow the instructions.
    • Open Project 2019 and activate it over the internet.

Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

    Regards, Sola

    Hello,

I downloaded Office from the Internet then put my license when asked. Yes, I bought a Retail copy with a CD. I do not have the disk which is why I do not have the license number to reinstall. Office worked fine until 1/20/2024 when I get the Error message: Code 43137. When I go to the Registry I see Office and was wondering if the InstallId is the license number. I thought Office was registered with my Microsoft account but I do not see anything. And, I am unsure if this email is the email I used when registering Office.

I will call the Microsoft number maybe they can help. I want to reinstall Office from the same PC it is installed. Thank you.

Hi Lou, First of all if your Office 2019 from disk then you need the disk to reinstall it. No Microsoft Account will have been associated with your Office 2019.

It is possible that you may be able to setup your Office 2019 with the Product Key and a Microsoft Account here: http://www.office.com/setup     (This option was created by Microsoft for Office 2013 on disk).

    Hello,

Thanks for the response. This does not work because I no longer have access to the Microsoft account I used to register the product. I have my Office on my PC. I purchased one license. This has been a while and I am going by memory. How can I retrieve the license from my PC so I can reinstall the Office? Is it the InstallID I see in the registry? Thank you.
