Vacation planner for employees in a calendar

I want to do in excel a simple vacation tracker where I list the names of the employees on vacation on column A, start date (column B), End date (column C). The name of the employee will be automatically listed in a calendar. Like if Romney's annual vacation is from 01/15/2024 to 2/28/2024, Romney's name will be in the calendar starting 1/15/2024 and the name of other employees who is also on vacation on that day.

I attached a picture of what I want to achieve. Hoping someone can help me.

Thanks

Nice idea, but if we assume you have 20 employees, means each day (each cell) must soo large that at min. the number of employees that are on vacation at the same time can be listed in that cell.

Theoretical possible, but that would make the whole calendar so large that it becomes unusable.

That's the reason why most people use a vertical calendar, one row for each employee.
