Cannot access Onedrive and Microsoft store

Hello Microsoft,

Ive been using for the last 9 years a surface, Windows, Office, all of your products, but when it comes to Microsoft store, I can enter once after formatting my PC, after that never more. Its been nine years I try to fix this problem, reading forums and everything, resetting cache, reinstall, nothing works.

Now, the Onedrive is making me crazy, it says Trying to sign in (when Im defiantly signed in to my computer), reinstall, clean caches, whatever nonsense I have already tried. On top of that, it keeps saying Im not connected to the internet, when I am (Im writing to you right now...)

Is there a definitive fix to this? I mean, you guys know those problems for such a long time and there is still forums every day showing the same problems. Can it be fixed at once? Or just should I move to apple?

    Hello Philipp,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We appreciate you have reached out to us about your OneDrive and Microsoft Store concern. Just to set your expectation, since you have OneDrive concern, your question was moved to Office consumer category so this will be addressed. For this case, you will require extensive troubleshooting, we have support team that will be able to assist you with it.

    1. Do you mind sharing a screenshot of the error message/code you are getting with OneDrive?
    2. Is the installed OneDrive for Personal or Business?
    3. May we know what is the Office license installed in your PC? Sample of Office license is Microsoft Business/Family/Personal 365 or Office Home and Business 2021. For guide on how to check, please review this page: About Office: What version of Office am I using? - Microsoft Support.
    4. When was the last time you have accessed your OneDrive on this device?
    5. Can you access OneDrive Online - click here?
    6. Can we ask for the screenshot of the issue on Microsoft Store?

Often times, there are Windows apps that may not work when Windows device is not updated nor activated. While we are waiting for your reply, please try the following steps:

    • Install PC updates including Optional Update. Guide - Update Windows
    • Restart device.
    • Repair OneDrive and Microsoft Store:
      • Please go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Select the app (OneDrive | Microsoft Store) you want to fix. Select the Advanced options link under the selected app. On the page that opens, select Repair if it's available. If it isn't available, select Reset.
    • Reset the cache of both apps:
      • Please follow the steps here: Reset OneDrive - Microsoft Support
      • Clear the store cache by typing “wsreset” in the Windows search bar. Run this as admin and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.
    • Restart device and launch OneDrive to see if issue persists. Then, followed by launching Microsoft Store.

We look forward to your response.

If you have other clarifications about this matter, you can get back to us by replying to this post.

    Sincerely,

    Kathy A.
