Thank you - that explains it. Any idea if Microsoft plans to add the sticky notes feature to the Mac desktop version of OneNote?

    Hi Carshone,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,

The sticky notes feature is a way to create and sync quick notes across your devices using OneNote or the Sticky Notes app. The sticky notes feature is not available on the desktop version of OneNote for Mac, but only on the web version or the mobile app. There are some possible solutions that you

One solution is to use the web version of OneNote on your Mac. The web version of OneNote has the same sticky notes feature as the mobile app, and you can access it from any browser. You can use the web version of OneNote by following these steps:

    • In a browser, go to onenote.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    • Click on the Sticky Notes icon on the left navigation pane.
    • You should see all your sticky notes that you created or synced from your mobile devices.
    • You can also create, edit, or delete your sticky notes from the web version.

Another solution is to use the Stickies app on your Mac. The Stickies app is a native app for Mac that allows you to create notes in post-it like fashion on your screen. The Stickies app is not connected to OneNote or the Sticky Notes app, so you cannot sync your notes across your devices. However, you can manually copy and paste your notes from the web version of OneNote to the Stickies app, or vice versa. You can use the Stickies app by following these steps:

    • In Mac OS, go to Applications > Other and launch the Stickies app.
    • You should see two example notes containing some instructions, and showing off how Stickies will look on your screen. You can either edit these notes or close them and make your own by selecting File > New Note.
    • You can write, format, customize, and arrange your notes as you like. Your notes are saved automatically and will remain on your screen even after closing the app.
    • You can also copy and paste your notes from the web version of OneNote to the Stickies app, or from the Stickies app to the web version of OneNote.

    I hope this helps!

    Regards, Sola
