I tried downloading all at once.. All I got was the link to the cloud photos. I want them on my external hard drive. None of the

suggestions work. I tried doing them one at a time and it seemed to work, but when I look at them, they are not there. There has to be a better way. I am doing this from the photos area, not file.

    Hi Mindy,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconveniences,

Here are some suggestions to try:

    • One way to download your photos from OneDrive to your external hard drive is to use the web browser. You can go to the OneDrive website, log in with your account, and select the photos or folders that you want to download. Then, you can click on the Download button and choose your external hard drive as the destination. You may need to change the download location in your browser settings.
    • Another way to download your photos from OneDrive to your external hard drive is to use the File Explorer. You can open the File Explorer, go to your Pictures Library, and select the photos or folders that you want to transfer. Then, you can right-click on them and choose Send To - your external hard drive should be at the bottom of the list.
    • A third way to download your photos from OneDrive to your external hard drive is to use the OneDrive app. You can download and install the OneDrive app on your device, and sign in with your account. Then, you can go to the Settings, and turn on the Files On-Demand feature. This will allow you to see all your OneDrive files in the File Explorer, without taking up space on your device. You can then select the photos or folders that you want to download, right-click on them, and choose Always keep on this device. This will download them to your device, and then you can move them to your external hard drive.

Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

    Regards, Sola

Turns out they were downloaded in a different file. But, when I download they don't actually go onto my computer. I have to right click and tell it to keep on this device to actually download. I am still having issues removing things from One Drive.

Hi, You can select multiple files and download it to your PC.

When you download them, just move them out to a folder which isn't synced to Onedrive.

Delete them later if you want.

    I hope this helps.

Hi, Click on the OneDrive Icon on the taskbar>Open Folder. You can double click on your files to download to your computer. Also, Open File Explorer>Left hand side>Blue OneDrive Folder>Click on it takes you to same place.

Once files are download you can copy them and paste them on your external hard drive.
