Hi Josh,

I am a user like you, this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly.
To use a hotspot for gaming, you can follow these general steps:
- Set up a Hotspot: If you're using a smartphone, you can enable the hotspot feature in your phone's settings. For Android, locate the "Wi-Fi hotspot" option and toggle it on. For iPhone, access the "Personal Hotspot" feature in the settings and turn it on.
- Connect Your Device: Once the hotspot is set up, connect your gaming device to the hotspot's Wi-Fi network. You may need to enter the hotspot's password, if it's secured.
- Play Games: After connecting to the hotspot, you can play online games as you would on any other Wi-Fi network.
It's important to note that using a hotspot for gaming may consume a significant amount of data, so it's advisable to have an unlimited data plan to avoid potential overage charges
I am NOT a Microsoft Agent/Employee.
I hope this is helpful! Best Regards, Utkarsh
