    Hello

I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.

To download the ODBC driver for ACCESS that allows you to open .accdb databases for Windows 11, you can follow these steps:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Download Center https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/download-and-install-microsoft-365-access-runtime-185c5a32-8ba9-491e-ac76-91cbe3ea09c9
    2. Look for the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable.
    3. Download the version that matches your system (32-bit or 64-bit).
    4. After downloading, run the installer to install the ODBC driver.

Please note that you might need to reinstall this driver if you update your Office suite or Windows OS.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you for the clarification.

You do not need to "open Access databases", exactly. What you need to do is connect to the internal database engine in Access, which is called ACE. That's a subtle distinction not easily grasped when you're new to the environment. You can use Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable.

Make sure you select the bitness which matches the bitness of your Office installation. If you have 64 bit Microsoft Office, use the 64 bit version. If you have the 32 bit version of Office, use the 32 bit version.
