I have office 365. Trying to create an excel sheet that has different size columns. I tried to search split table but couldn't find how to do it. It says go to Table Tools Layout > Split Table and I don't have table tools layout. The original form was created in word but I can't even figure out how to convert word to excel.

Split Table doesn't exist in Excel, it's a feature in Word only.

In Excel you can only merge cells.

There is no simple way to convert Word tables to Excel, you can try to select the table in Word and copy, switch to Excel and paste. In most cases the layout in Excel looks different and it is up to you to adjust it manually.

    Andreas.
