View options in OneNote (the desktop app)

Hello,

I have tweo questions:

  1. Does OneNote display the number of pages (notes) for each notebook? For example, I want to know how many pages there are in notebook "Payroll"? When I am to trensfer notes from Evernote to OneNote, I have to verify that the number of notes exported from Evernote did actually get imported into OneNote.
  2. Does OneNote display a global view of All Pages, regardless of their place within sections? For example, I want to be able to scroll up and down and view all pages. If I have 3 notebooks, each having 2 sections, each having 2 pages, this means the All Pages view should display 12 pages.

Thank you!

    Dear Kalinka Pavlova,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft community. We are delighted to offer our assistance.

    1. OneNote does not display the number of pages for each notebook.
    2. OneNote does not have a global view of all pages, regardless of their place within sections.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this limitation. We would like to recommend that you create a new thread in the feedback Community: OneNote · Community (microsoft.com). Our Product Team oversees the site and actively monitors customers' comments and feedback. Many features have been developed and improved based on user input.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We wish you good health and safety at all times.

    Thank you, Sean!

I followed the steps suggested in your response, but I am getting a message (please see attached).

Then, I asked my supervisor to follow the steps outlined in the article, but he got the same message:

"Your account does not have permission to view or manage this page in the Microsoft 365 admin center".

Please refer to the questions below:

    1. How do I find the most recent note that was added in OneNote?
    2. Does OneNote provide an import log or a report that details the success or failure of each note import?

    Thank you!

    Kali

    Dear Kalinka Pavlova,

    Thanks for your reply.

I guess you are using Evernote2Onenote right? Since this tool is not a Microsoft tool, we lack of experience to say if there could be a good method to help you with your requirements. In this case, direct remote support could be a more efficient way to address your concerns. Therefore, we sincerely recommend that you contact your Microsoft 365 administrator and follow the steps outlined in this article to create a support ticket and contact Online Support.

The support team at Online Support has higher permissions than us and can remotely examine the situation on your end, gather more resources, and assist you with troubleshooting. This will be a more efficient way to address your concerns.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Have a great day.

    Sincerely,

    Sean | Microsoft Community Moderator

    Thank you for the response!

    In this case:

How do I find the most recent note that was added in OneNote?

What is the way to verify I have imported 500 notes in OneNote?

    Thank you!

    Kali Pavlova
