I want to save files directly onto my mac and not have to go through one drive. pls help me remove one drive

My files are all over the place. I used to use a PC and it was fine. Now my word docs and excel docs are all over the place. Apple said it was an issue because of one drive. Unlike apple, i m not able to call and get help from anyone at microsoft. can you pls. help me ?

    Hi

    Apple and Microsoft are trying to make things so easy for us that it is causing most people endless confusion.

    Use the Menu Bar and choose File > Save As to display the dialog that lets you choose the save location. There are "cloud" or network locations at the top of the places and down at the bottom is "On My Mac." It sounds like that's the option you should choose.
