I currently have Office E3 plan (and also joined Microsoft Office 365 Insiders officially), and it doesn't show up as option to buy in "purchase services" in my microsoft admin. What can I do to get office Copilot now as it seems from everything I have read that I should be able to install.

You might have to update your license inside one of the apps. In Excel, go to File -> Account -> Update License.

After I did this, the Copilot icon appeared on the right side of the Home ribbon bar.

Thank you! This indeed did work!

    Hi Zach,

Yes Zach. That is the requirements for ‎Microsoft 365‎ E3 or E5 licenses owner. As soon as you meet the criteria, Copilot should be available for your organization. I understand how eager you are to experience Copilot in Microsoft Office 365, and we really appreciate your interest, however there are really rules to be followed for this product.

Speaking of Copilot for Insiders, according to a Microsoft Community post, Copilot is currently available in Microsoft 365 Insider Program for apps such as Excel and PowerPoint, which you badly needed. However, it is being rolled out by phases, so it may not be available to everyone yet. You can check if you have access to Copilot by following these steps:

    1. Open Excel or PowerPoint.
    2. Click on the “Insert” tab.
    3. Look for the “Copilot” button in the “Add-ins” section.
    4. If you see the “Copilot” button, you have access to it.

If you don’t see the “Copilot” button, you may need to wait for it to be rolled out to your region.

    Hope you understand.

    Sincerely,

    Froilance T.

    Hi Zach,

I understand your sentiment in regard to this matter. Please know that we really appreciate your interest in our products. As soon as the Copilot became stable, it will be available in public. Hope you'll understand that this may not be available for now to all and only selected testers are given a chance. But we're positive that this will be rolled out to you as well soon. Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated. Thanks for supporting Microsoft.
