Need To Double Playback Speed Of Imported Video Clip

I have a short video clip that plays back at half speed. That's the way it was forwarded to me from my client.

I imported it into PowerPoint, but I want to double the speed. Is this possible to do within PP?

You'll have to fix this in a video editing program. It's not possible in PowerPoint.

    Dear Chris,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Per your description, you want to change the playback speed of imported video in PowerPoint.

However, as far as we know, it is not available yet. We recommend that you vote for this feature in these two PowerPoint UserVoice(playback speed · Community (microsoft.com), Ability to Speed up Embedded Videos in Powerpoint · Community (microsoft.com)) and many members who has the same requirement with you will vote it in the future. The higher votes, the more attention the related team will pay on. Many good ideas have been taken in this way. Your voice is also important to us.

As a workaround, you could use a video editor or an online service to change the speed of the video file, then reinsert it in PowerPoint.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Sincerely,
