    This doesn't work.

I do what you said, but can't find "install Office" when I go to office.com.

I have a valid Microsoft 365 subscription, and the system seems to know I am logged in, I already have word, excel etc installed, I just want to add Publisher. As I move around the Microsoft website, I end up at a page which says I have to pay to get Publisher.

I am doing this on a Windows 11 PC. The publicity says Publisher is included for Windows in a Microsoft 365 family subscription, but I just can't find out how to install it.

    What am I doing wrong?

With Microsoft 365 subscriptions, it is an all or nothing install, so if you have installed the product successfully, Publisher should be available too. Search for Publisher from the Windows Start menu and start the program from there. You can then pin a shortcut to the taskbar.

If you need a good affordable DTP alternative, that you look at Affinity Publisher which is the old Serif Publisher. It is where I wish MSFT had taken Publisher before they stopped developing it. It will run on both a PC and a Mac...even I-pads. It is a lot cheaper than Publisher...around $70 regular price. They have a trial copy so you might test it and see if it will give you what you want in a DTP...

If you have a subscription such as Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Family, Publisher is included, assuming that you install Office on a Windows device.
