Hello,

I would like to ask some question about Yammer since we will be doing an O365 tenant migration from one to another. I would like to know if is it possible to Migrate all data in Yammer (communities, post, conversation, user profiles) from one tenant to another. And in what ways can we accomplish this?

Thanks in advance for those who will answer :)

    Dear respected BRA (PH),

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, it seems that you want to know if you can migrate content/data (communities, post, conversation, user profiles) in Yammer across different tenants.

If my understanding is right, I'm Sorry and I'm afraid, currently unfortunately Microsoft Yammer doesn't migrate from one tenant to another.

We have also searched a lot and we may not find any built-in feature or tool to help migrate Yammer contents across tenants directly. Migrating Yammer data from one Office 365 tenant to another can be a complex process as Yammer is tightly integrated with the Office 365 ecosystem. Currently, Microsoft does not provide a direct migration method for moving Yammer data between tenants.

And for your requirement, we’d suggest you contact your office 365 administrator to go to Office 365 Admin Center-> Support-> New Service Request, the support team there has more permission than us. The engineers in related team have higher permission and resources than us to check if they have any other easy way to help migrate the contents. This would be the most efficient way in handling this case for you.

For reference: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?

Please accept my Apologies for redirecting you to the related team support as the moderators in this community have limited resources to check the backend information, and to get the fast and better assistance we requested for it.

I'm sorry and I apologize for that.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad

Microsoft does not provide a feature for tenant to tenant Yammer migration.

Paid 3rd party migration tools are available and you can easily find them listed with a web search.

    Regards

I do not know of any Microsoft feature that will migrate Yammer / Viva Engage data from one tenant to another.

There is an export feature for you to preserve data loaded onto Yammer but there is no feature to import the exported data into the new network.

To Export, go to the Engage App,

Gear Symbol on top right -> Edit Network Admin Settings

Are there any data that can be migrated to another tenant using Yammer admin center? Like an export (from old tenant) - import (to new tenant) kind of thing?
