Install of MS Office Professional Plus 2013 on new computer

I'm trying to install MS Office Professional Plus 2013 on a new computer. I uninstalled it on my old computer. When I run the setup program, I'm getting a message in FRENCH that is basically telling me there is a newer version of MS Office installed on my new computer that needs to be deleted. I deleted 3 programs that were preinstalled, MS 365 Office in English, Spanish and French. All 3 were deleted and do not show up in my list of apps on the computer. However, when I run the setup program off of my CD, I'm still getting the error message in French. Any ideas?

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to this forum. As a fellow Microsoft user, I'm here and ready to help you out today.

If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription or non-subscription version such as Office Home and Business 2021, 2019, 2016 or 2013, in most cases you can't run these versions together on the same computer.

Please find the details in below link. https://support.microsoft.com/office/6ebb44ce-18a3-43f9-a187-b78c513788bf

Could you please uninstall Office 365 completely and try installing 2013?

To do a clean installation, please follow below steps,

    1. Close all Office applications.
    2. Sign-out of your Office account.
    3. Do a safe reboot. You can start Safe Mode using the F8 key during start up.
    4. For clean install, please use SetupProd_OffScrub.exe tool to uninstall everything. Instructions can be found here - https://support.microsoft.com/office/9ad57b43-fa12-859a-9cf0-b694637b3b05
    5. Remove the credential details of the personal account from "Credential manager". Go to: Control Panel\User Accounts\Credential Manager

To install Office 2013, please follow below instructions.

    1. Go to your Microsoft account dashboard and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in. https://account.microsoft.com/
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account you associated with this version of Microsoft 365.
    3. From the top of the page, select Services and subscriptions and on that page find the Microsoft 365 product you want to install and select Install.

    Now Install Microsoft 2013,

    1. Depending on your browser, select Run (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome)
    2. Your install is finished when you see the phrase, "You're all set! Office is installed now" and an animation plays to show you where to find Office applications on your computer. Select Close.
