Please select your chart & provide a screen shot of the Excel window in your reply. The simplest method of capturing the screen shot is to use the OS keyboard shortcut Shift+Control+Command+3 which copies it to the Clipboard then paste into the reply. Use the lower right corner of the image to scale it down a bit.

More Error Bars is on the Design tab of the Ribbon when a chart series is selected. Click the Add Chart Element button on the Ribbon to display this option.

There is no "More Options" to select for error bars in my version (macOS v16.80.) I need to create custom error bars. Advice?

Also, keep in mind that error bars are available options only while a chart is selected, and only for certain kinds of charts, such as line and bar charts.

    Hello Gyuseon,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

You can find the “More Error Bars Options” and “Format Error Bars” options by following these steps in Excel:

    Click anywhere in the chart.

Click the Chart Elements button next to the chart, and then check the Error Bars box.

To change the error amount shown, click the arrow next to Error Bars, and then pick an option.

Pick a predefined error bar option like Standard Error, Percentage or Standard Deviation.

Pick More Options to set your own error bar amounts, and then under Vertical Error Bar or Horizontal Error Bar, choose the options you want. This is also where you can change the direction, end style of the error bars, or create custom error bars.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Best Regards, IBHADIGHI
