How do I link office 365 with GoDaddy

I have set up my email address via GoDaddy and recently purchased office 365 business essentials separately.

I have set up the office page but I can’t get access to any office 365 apps as it says I do not have the required permissions to do this, please contact your admin.

I have looked through GoDaddy and office 365 admins but it takes me round in circles.

GoDaddy have said I would need to delete the account with them before I can access office 365?

hope this makes sense!

    Hi Stacey,

Apologies about the severely delayed replied.

So I am able to log into my Microsoft account and go daddy account but I need to activate office 365. To do this it says the admin needs to assign the license to my account.

Every time I click on the admin screen in my microsoft portal it takes me to my Godaddy admin page but there is no place to add a license.

I have attached screen shots below

    Thanks

    Josh

    Dear JoshBV

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, it seems that you can't access your office apps and got the error message.

Regarding you can't access office 365 apps, in this scenario, to help you better and clarify your situation, we would like to confirm some information with you:

    1. Generally, you should go to the Microsoft 365 sign-in page>Enter your Microsoft 365 email address and password not your GoDaddy username and password >then select sign in>You might need to select your account type as Work or school, not Personal and you can access the office apps successfully. May I know how did you sign in office 365? With your office 3656 account or your Gmail account?
    2. Or you can sign into your email using your domain name. For the detailed information how to sign into your MS 365 account from GoDaddy, you can refer to Sign in to my Microsoft 365 account | Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy - GoDaddy Help PH
    3. May I know did you purchase office 365 business use the same email address from GoDaddy?
    4. Please share a screenshot of the error message you got to us.

If you want to migrate from GoDaddy to o365, you can refer to godaddy with office 365 to office 365 migration - Microsoft Q&A
