    Hi Judith

I'm AnnaThomas and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Microsoft 365 doesn’t backup your iPhone to iCloud. iCloud is an Apple service that allows you to backup your iPhone or iPad to the cloud.

But you can use the OneDrive app on your iPhone to automatically upload photos and videos from your camera roll to OneDrive. Here’s how to automatically upload your iPhone camera roll to OneDrive:

In the OneDrive app, tap your account image. Tap Settings then Camera Upload. Turn on Camera Upload to automatically upload photos and videos to OneDrive.

This will only upload the photos and videos from your camera roll to OneDrive, it does not sync them both ways. That means you can delete uploaded photos and videos from your device, and the copies in OneDrive won’t be affected.

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    AnnaThomas

When you get a new phone, you can access the files and photos that you have stored on OneDrive by installing the OneDrive app on your new phone and signing in with the same Microsoft account that you used on your old phone. Once you sign in, you’ll be able to view and download your files and photos from OneDrive to your new phone.

Here’s how to access your OneDrive files on a new phone:

Install the OneDrive app from the App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play Store (for Android). Open the OneDrive app and sign in with the same Microsoft account that you used on your old phone. Once you’re signed in, you’ll be able to view and download your files and photos from OneDrive.

Yes that helps. When I get a new phone and I want to copy all my stuff to new phone, how do I get the stuff from my OneDrive to the phone?

I don't know about the iPhone Calendar, but see https://support.apple.com/HT207428 (at Apple support).

Microsoft 365 data is accessed from the cloud, not really as a backup. Some information is available in the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-s-included-in-your-cloud-and-email-storage-acc64fde-d57f-43b5-b1f2-42e7c36f4ff1.

What about my contacts and calendar. Are they backed up to One Drive?
