How to clear the font caches.

Hello.

After generating a font, I was checking it through a Word and noticed that the font name was being truncated in the font drop-down list.

To solve this problem, I deleted the font file, fixed the error in the code, reinstalled the font, and tried to check it in Word, but the same problem occurred as before.

However, when I install the same file on a different Mac, it appears to be fixed.

I thought the problem might be caused by leftover cache, so I deleted and reinstalled the entire Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, but it didn't help.

Is there any other way to clear the cache? Or is there another way to get the changes to reflect?

    Dear Sehyun Oh,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you

If it is convenient for you, I would like to confirm the specific font you used.

You can see if the advice in the following document can help you, although the title says Word for Mac, the advice also applies to other Office applications: Third-party installed font does not appear in the font list in Word for Mac - Microsoft 365 Apps | Microsoft Learn

Note: Microsoft Office for Mac technical support does not provide support for installing or configuring third-party fonts. If the following methods don't resolve your font issue, contact the font manufacturer or the website from which you purchased the fonts.

We look forward to your reply. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator
