I formatted my laptop and reinstalled Win 7 64bit with SP1. Gave it all the time it needed to download and install the updated. Then tried to install Microsoft 365. Got the following message: The procedure entry point SetProcessMitigationPolicy could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

The problem is not yet resolved, I just didn't have time recently to deal with it. I did it last year on another laptop, no problem. This time around, it does not work. Is there perhaps an older version of 365 that i can download and try?

You may be able to download and install an older version of Microsoft 365 that will work with Windows 7.

Read through the entire thread here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/installing-office-365-on-windows-7/35af3123-7c61-4484-b37e-020318ffb599?page=1

As one of the posts in that thread says, you'll need to use the "Office Deployment Tool," which is "intended for Business administrators, but it does secretly support consumer Office bundles. It's tricky, intended for experienced administrators, not users, so it requires learning some XML coding. Here are some links to the tool, you'll have to do more research to use it ...."

    Hello! Renier Coetzer 1973

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community

I truly understand that you want to install Microsoft 365 in your Windows 7 Operating system and I appreciate that you have an active subscription, currently Microsoft 365 can only be supported by the following operating systems such as Windows 10 and Windows 11. For Mac OS: Monterey, Ventura, and Sonoma 11 and above.

You can check this article here: Microsoft 365 and Office Resources

What I can only suggest for you is to have a device that runs Windows 10/11 so you can install Microsoft 365.

    I hope it helps!

    Thank you,
