"Data Analysis" is not in Data toolbar even though "Analysis ToolPak" installed via options AND file is in right location on drive

Hello,

I am having an issue where "Data Analysis" is just not appearing in the "Data" toolbar like all the tutorials I have followed. The process to add it is straight forward: options > add-ins > Manage Excel Add-ins > tick "Analysis ToolPak > click Go. I have gone through this step multiple times. I also checked to make sure the file itself, ANALYS32.XLL, was installed in the correct folder.

Example of one tutorial https://www.rwu.edu/sites/default/files/downloads/fcas/mns/calculating\_and\_displaying\_regression\_statistics\_in\_excel.pdf

I have even opened Excel by double clicking on ANALYS32.XLL.

No matter what I do, the "Data Analysis" tool is not displayed in the "Data" toolbar.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a solution?

This is on my work computer. Tech support could not help.

Thanks!

    Hi Mike,

Based on my search, please try the following suggestions, then check again.

    1. Please try to Repair Office and choose Online Repair. After that, run Excel and check again.
    2. I understand that you have enabled the add-in. Please disable (untick) the add-in in Excel, click OK, close Excel, restart Excel, and then re-enable the add-in. Check if you can see it in the Data tab or if any error messages appear.

If the above suggestions don't help, I would like to collect more information to troubleshoot it.

    1. Please provide the Office version and Product Information.

Go to File> Account, please take a full screenshot of the current interface, then click "Insert Image" to upload it.

    1. I would like to know if your Office is 32bit or 64bit.

Go to File> Account, click the "About Excel" button, and then the information is in the bold line.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,
