Is OneDrive for Business File Size limit 2GB or 250GB?

The article "Plan your setup of Microsoft 365 for business" says:

"You can move hundreds of files to OneDrive or to a SharePoint team site. You can upload 100 files at a time. Avoid uploading files larger than 2GB, which is the maximum file size by default."

But the article "Restrictions and limitations in OneDrive and SharePoint" says:

These seem to contradict each other. One seems to say the max file size for OneDrive for Business is 2GB and the other seems to say the max file size is 250GB.

Am I misunderstanding something?

    Dear Good Faith,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

As per the most recent official Microsoft documentation: Restrictions and limitations in OneDrive and SharePoint - Microsoft Support, the current file size limit for a single file upload in OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online is 250 GB.

The reference to a 2 GB limit is outdated(Restrictions and limitations when you sync SharePoint libraries to your computer through OneDrive for work or school - Microsoft Support); Microsoft has since increased the maximum file size for uploads.

    Sincerely,

    Jazlyn | Microsoft Community Moderator
