    Hi Ken,

".pkg (package) is a filename extension used for several file formats that contain packages of software and other files to be installed onto a certain device, operating system, or filesystem, such as the macOS, iOS, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4."

    Cited from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.pkg#:~:text=pkg%20(package)%20is%20a%20filename,PlayStation%203%2C%20and%20PlayStation%204.

If you have a Macbook or MacOS product you should be able to open it.

    Hi Ken,

In Finder, just double-click the .pkg file to run the installer.

I was able to view the contents of a .kpg file with the use of 7zip. I am not aware of a way to 'run' the file like a .exe file, just that you can acccess the folders and files it is consisted of through 7zip.
