Word is forcing me to use onedrive to save documents that I want to save to my computer. Help!

Starting today, Word gives me only Onedrive as the place to save my documents. I cannot save to my computer, nor does the document appear in my 'recent' folder or one drive folder. I want to be able to save to my computer, but there are no options to do so - nor is there an 'option' under File.

I have this issue and it is massively fustrating, there is no reason why MS should insist on where we save our personal or work files, I am on a mac and none of these options exist !! Every time I have to open or save (new document) I have to go through added steps to select my local drive ........................................... WHY ? there is no efficiency to be gained here other than driving me to one drive which I have but do not use to save documents.

I have attempted so many solutions, none of which work, nothing in preferences (settings) nothing in the save dialogue... Im an advanced user and this is impossible to change.

This is incredibly annoying to a Mac user who just wants to save my documents to my Mac desktop. I had to go to: Word >Preferences > type in "Save" in the search bar that pops up >"Save Options" and then unclick "Turn on Autosave by Default". Then, when I save a document, I have to click "Save As" and make sure that my Mac desktop is selected. I never use OneDrive nor do I want to - if anything I would use iCloud to keep my data in the same ecosystem. Anyway - hope this helps someone!

How do I prevent onedrive from being the default location for documents? And, the document that says it's saving on onedrive isn't appearing in the folder, even though it's forcing me to save to that folder.

This is absolutely unacceptable!!! FIX THIS NOW! We pay for this software....hijacking our files does not equate to great customer service/support.

I do not have the options to do any of these 3. "Save to computer" is GREYED OUT, and in both "save' solutions, there is no option for me to click on any
