My work account can access the partner portal as well. Is your account for a company which is a Distributor or LSP / CSP?

I just tested. I do not face a similar issue.

I used an account that has access to Microsoft Partner Portal if that helps

When I click on the URL, I get the option to pick an account. Which I then i click on my work email id and then it goes back to the same screen again, asking me to pick an account. In a loop.

If i do these actions in a private window in Edge browser, i am still in a loop except that now it is choosing an account --> enter password --> MFA ---> choose an account --> enter password --> MFA --> choose an account --> enter password --> MFA. All in a loop.
