I can't find a way to delete files from Microsoft 365 on either my original app on my Google Pixel phone or my Chromebook.

Yes, the files removed from OneDrive do not always get automatically removed from the 'Recent' section in the Microsoft 365 (Office) app. They must be removed from the list manually.

What happens when you try to delete the file in the OneDrive app?

2. Do you mean that you can't remove the file from the 'Recent' section in the Microsoft 365 (Office) app even after deleting the file from the OneDrive app? If yes, then do that by simply tapping on the three-vertical dots next to the file name and then tapping on 'Remove from list'.
