The #10 MS person finally made it work after two additional hours on Quick Assist. It was something about a business basic subscription vs. a home subscription.

The amazing parts are that (a) the MS people 1-9 never thought of this, and (b) the system doesn't automatically alert users about the issue and solution.

Matt - I am encountering the same issue. Before I work my way through 10 or so service reps can you outline the issue? It sounds like you had both a personal 365 account as well as an employer provided account, which is what I have. Employer for me includes Co-Pilot which I can see in my 365 workplace account but it won't show in the ribbon for PPT, Word or Excel. The solution is to refresh my license but when I do that it says "Error 44". Any tips much appreciated!

    Hello Jacqueline,

My name is EngineTyme, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I would be glad to help you.

I am sorry to hear that you’re having trouble activating Microsoft 365 on your laptop. Error 44 is a common error that occurs when there is an issue with the activation of Microsoft 365. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Activation Status: Open any Office application (e.g., Word, Excel), click on “File” in the top left corner, and then click on “Account.” Here, you can check if your Office suite is listed as “Activated.” If not, you need to activate it.
    2. Run Office as Administrator: Right-click on the Office application icon and select “Run as administrator.” Then, sign in to activate Office.
    3. Repair Office: In Windows 7 or 8, locate “Control Panel” > “Programs” > “Programs and Features.” Highlight “Office 365 ProPlus” (do not click on it) and select the “Change” button. Select “Quick Repair”
