Add Row Above shortcut not working (CMD+SHIFT+=) on Excel for Mac

Hello,

I have been using MS Excel for over 20 years but I cannot figure out how to fix this problem. I often use keyboard shortcuts, especially Cmd+Shift+=, to add a row above. However, it just stopped working today. I am using the latest Excel version for Mac (16.82) and am sure that I am inputting the command correctly. I tried to add a new keyboard shortcut for the function (which shows no shortcut assigned); however, it will not let me do that.

Any help would be much appreciated.

This note is to Shannah, not Gilberto

Please take a picture of your keyboard showing the + key and the = key and share it in a reply here. It seems you have a unique keyboard!

    Thanks.

I find it fascinating that Shannah thinks the + key and the = key are different keys.

The keyboard shortcut is working for me. Can you think of anything that recently changed that would alter the default keyboard shortcut behavior? Maybe just restarting your Mac will fix this.

    Hi Gilberto,

Thank you for contacting us today! As a Microsoft Ambassador, I can help you find self-help solutions for many common issues related to your account, billings or subscriptions.

CMD + Shift + Plus Sign will insert a row. So please try the plus sign instead of the = and let me know how it goes.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind regards,

    Shannah
