I uninstalled MS Office 365, to install MS Office Home & Business 2019 on my Mac (I purchased a key for that version), but it keeps downloading MS Office 365, even when I click download the redeemed key version from my account.

Hi Alicjac, if you mean as below it is not installing Microsoft 365 it is installing Office 2019 as per my Office Home & Business 2019. Microsoft hates perpetual versions! It does not like to talk about them!

I did all that, three times. It is still, each time, downloading MS Office 365 (Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.78.23102801_BusinessPro_Installer), instead of Office Home & Business 2019 for Mac, when I click the "install" button next to purchased products (Office Home & Business 2019 for Mac) in my MS account service and subscriptions. After the package is downloaded, it asks for updating, I click OK, and updates are installed. After I open one of the Office apps, MS Word, for instance, it asks to sign in, which I do. It says looking for license, and then it says license not found.

I have already lost income, because I am unable to work, plus it looks like I will have to spend twice to buy MS Office 365 subscription anyway, despite the fact that I have already purchased an MS Office key, because I can't afford to not to be able to work. This is ridiculous.

Alriiight, I found the answer here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/i-own-office-home-business-2019-for-mac-but-it/31e15990-ca44-4253-b0c7-40281baa023b](https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/i-own-office-home-business-2019-for-mac-but-it/31e15990-ca44-4253-b0c7-40281baa023b "answers.microsoft.com") (thanks to [Waqas Muhammad MSFT).

    Quoting their answer:

"As for Office 2019, version 16.78.3 on Mac OS is the latest/final version of Office 2019. Since your license is for Office 2019, the issue is caused by **** AutoUpdate installing the wrong version of Office for your license. First, you'd need to delete the wrong version:

For your reference: Uninstall Office for Mac - Microsoft Support

Then, install the correct version, which is 16.78.3 which you can download from this link.

    Office suite (with Teams)

Also, use the Help menu and choose Check for Updates. Under Automatic update, clear the check box to keep Office updated automatically, as well as version 16.78.3 is the final version of Office 2019."

To add: I turned off my internet connection before opening the .pkg installer, to make sure the auto-updater did not update the installation.

AlicjaKolodziej, can you please confirm the license you have installed.

I would also suggest you try creating an alias for your Microsoft account and use the alias to activate your Office license.

Outlook.com lets you have multiple aliases associated with a single account, adding an alias will give you an additional email address that uses the same inbox, contact list, and account settings as your primary email address. You can choose which email address to send mail from, and you can sign in to your Outlook.com account with any of your aliases—they all use the same password.

To add an email address as alias:

    1. Go to Add an alias. Sign in to your Microsoft account, if prompted. https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=864833
    2. Under Add an alias, do one of the following: a.) Create a new Outlook.com email address and add it as an alias. b.) Add an existing email address as an alias.
    3. Select Add alias.

Find more information about Alias: https://support.microsoft.com/office/459b1989-356d-40fa-a689-8f285b13f1f2
