Hello Ramiro P! I'm Gunasekar and I'd be happy to help you with your question. Microsoft Designer does not have a traditional "Save" function. Instead, it uses cloud storage to automatically save your work as you make changes. This means you can access your designs anytime, anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection and are logged in to your Microsoft account. The edited will continue from where you left off. -To download the Designs >>

When I'm designing, the last thing I want is automatic saving when I'm tweaking back and forth... and I am often working in remote areas with no internet access or mobile signal, so this all being online is not helpful. I'm very disappointed that Publisher is being discontinued - I've been using it since the 90s and all of my product labels and templates are in it. Are these going to be automatically readable in MS Word like Adobe InDesign was for PageMaker & Quark? I dread to think of the hours it will take me to reset them all up - there is over 1000 product labels, because Publisher is a cost effective tool for small businesses (and hobbyists).

    Hello Ramiro P,

I'm Shalom and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

To save a design document in Microsoft Office, you would typically follow these steps:

    • Open the Document: First, open the design document you want to save in the respective Microsoft Office application (e.g., Microsoft Word for text-based documents, Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations, Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets, etc.).
    • Click on the "File" Menu: Look for the "File" menu located at the top-left corner of the application window.
    • Select "Save As": Click on "File" to open the dropdown menu, and then select "Save As." This action will open a dialog box where you can specify the file name, file type, and the location where you want to save the document.
    • Choose the Location: Navigate to the folder or directory where you want to save the document. You can select a different folder by clicking on the folders displayed in the dialog box or by using the navigation pane on the left side.
    • Name the Document: In the "File Name" field, enter the desired name for your design document.
    • Click "Save": Once you have specified the file name, location, and format (if necessary), click the "Save" button to save your design document.
    • Confirm the Save: After clicking "Save," the document will be saved to the specified location with the specified file name and format.
    • Close the Document: After saving the document, you can close it by clicking the "X" button at the top-right corner of the application window or by selecting "Close" from the "File" menu.

    Best Regards, Shalom
