Microsoft Office 2020: A message pops up that I would like to permanently delete

Hello,

Today, I downloaded Microsoft Office 2010 Student & Home version from a DVD to a Windows 11 laptop, and the following message (below) keeps popping up, and it won't go away. What's strange is that just two months ago I downloaded this same DVD on another Windows 11 laptop, yet no message appeared, and I haven't had any issues using its Microsoft Word/Office. I understand that this 2010 Office version is out of support, but I would like to continue using it. One difference between the two laptops is the today's laptop is brand new whereas the other one is two years old, yet, again, both are Windows 11.

Can anyone help me to permanently delete this pop-up message so that I don't see it again?

Thanks, Daffy D

You have to uninstall the pre-installed O365 Family trial, then you have to use this process to get O2010 activated, as the online activation you see is no longer supported

    Hi,

Yes, but I no longer have the other Windows 11 laptop. I gave it away two days ago and erased everything on it. That said, the program, which was downloaded, disappeared from my laptop and won't reinstall, as this error message pops up (please see below). I explained it all in another question to the forum a few minutes ago. During the installation process it now asks me for the long key code before the actual installation, and I think that's wrong or backwards. Isn't it supposed to ask me for the key code after it installs the program? I'm pretty sure that it did so earlier in the "successful" installation. Thanks, Daffy D

    Hello,

I have been trying to download a DVD of Microsoft Office 2010 to a new Windows 11 laptop -- it's one day old. Earlier today the DVD downloaded, and I was able to open all the programs on it, including Word, though a message kept popping up telling me to register, but since 2010 is no longer supported it would not allow the registration.

I had another issue with the laptop and had to put in a Bitlocker code for the system to reboot, though it's working fine now and the programs that I had downloaded from my external DVD were still there except for Office 2010, which just disappeared. The other programs were as old as Office 2010.

Now when I try to download it -- have tried three more times -- an error message pops up (please see below). What I noticed is that the program is asking me to put in the long code key of Office before it starts to install. If I remember correctly, it should ask for the key after the installation is complete. I pretty sure that's the way it is, but want to check.

Can someone help? Thanks Daffy DImage
