    Verify your Account Settings:

To access the account settings, open Outlook. Make sure your Gmail account is linked and configured correctly. Check that your Gmail account's incoming and outgoing server settings are accurate. Add a Gmail account again:

Delete your Outlook account for Gmail. Proceed with the account setup procedure once more to re-add the Gmail account. Verify that the email address and password you entered for your Gmail account are accurate. Verify the antivirus and firewall settings:

Please turn off your computer's firewall and antivirus programmes for now. These security tools have the ability to occasionally prevent Outlook from accessing your Gmail account. You can try using Outlook to access your Gmail account once more after removing them.

    Revise Outlook:

Make sure the most recent patches and upgrades are installed on your Outlook programme. Look for updates that are available, then install them if needed. Fix the installation of Outlook:

You can attempt fixing the Outlook installation if the programme is still malfunctioning. Navigate to your computer's Control Panel and choose "Programmes" > "Programmes and Features." In the list of installed programmes, locate Microsoft Office, give it a right-click, and select "Change." To fix the Outlook installation, select "Repair" and adhere to the instructions.

Try these let me know if it works.

Thank you for your prompt reply Saurabh. Before I posted my question, I had already deleted all third party apps, closed all programs and rebooted my laptop.

I do not have passwords saved for login. I use Outlook in Microsoft 360. Outlook is where I am having issues. I am not even able to receive my gmail.

    Thank you :)

    Hi SuzanneLong,

I am Saurabh a Microsoft Consumer just like you are. I am happy to help with my expertise and will try my best to solve your issue.

It's likely that some integration or authentication settings are to blame if you're having trouble with Microsoft programmes and services attempting to connect to Google. The following actions can be taken to diagnose and fix the problem:

Verify the permissions of the app:

Open the settings for your Google Account. Click on "Security" or "Third-party apps with account access" from the menu. Examine the list of connected services and apps. Take out whatever you don't know or believe in. If you come across any Microsoft-related apps or services, remove access to them.

Reset Microsoft Apps: On your device, log out of all Microsoft services and apps. Make sure your device's Microsoft apps—like OneDrive and Outlook—have no data or cache left on it. Enter your Microsoft account credentials to log back into the Microsoft apps.

Update Authentication Settings: Verify that the authentication settings are accurate if you're using Microsoft apps on a device that is also linked to your Google account. Could you verify whether any autofill preferences or saved passwords associated with your Google account are causing issues for Microsoft applications?

Verify Browser Settings: If you're using a web browser to access Microsoft services, make sure the browser settings are correct. Please don't hesitate to turn off any add-ons or extensions that seem to be causing problems. Try using the Microsoft services once more after clearing the cookies and cache in your browser.

Contact Support: You should think about contacting Microsoft support if the problems persist after you've tried the aforementioned solutions. Kindly let them know which particular apps and services are giving you problems, along with any error messages you're experiencing.

Following these instructions, you should be able to troubleshoot and fix the problems with Microsoft programmes and services trying to connect to Google. Please do not hesitate to contact Microsoft support for individualised assistance if you need any more help.

I hope this helps; if you need any more assistance, please do let me know.

    Best Regards, Saurabh
