How do I change my billing currency to a different one?

I have a Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) personal subscription that I started when I live in the United States. I have moved and living for the past three years in India. I need to change my Microsoft account to an India account in every aspect such as subscription country, payment country, Shipping country etc. to India. I tried to connect my Microsoft 365 subscription to a new India credit card I added to my account. But it would not let me. Though I had changed my Region/Country of my Microsoft account, my Office 365 account still is being paid in US $ using a US Credit card.

Please help me change my existing Microsoft 365 subscription billing to India so that I can renew the subscription when the time comes using a Indian payment method.

Thanks.

    Hello Babu V,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I am a Microsoft user just like you, I hope you are doing well.

Do you still have your subscription purchased in the United States?

When you change to a different location, you need to change your Microsoft region. Understand that you will not be able to renew your current Microsoft 365 subscription that was purchased in United States while in India and your currency will still be in USD while this subscription is active. You will need to wait till this subscription is expired or you cancel it and purchase a new subscription from your new region (India).

To change your region, use one of the following options:

"1. Change your language and region in Microsoft Store online: Go to Microsoft Store online (https://www.microsoft.com/store). At the very bottom of any page, select the World icon to choose your language and region.

    1. Change your region in Windows: When you make your first purchase in the new locale, you'll be prompted to update your billing info.

    Select Start > Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.

Under Country or region, select your new region. You can switch back to your original region at any time".

The tips above were obtained from Microsoft support article: https://support.microsoft.com/help/5895e006-34f4-10f7-16b1-999e40adb048
