Up until a few days ago when I would open an excel file it would just open to the size that was previously saved. Now, every time I open excel, any excel file, it opens completely full screen. my question is how to keep it from opening full screen to begin with. It was working fine for years and all of a sudden it changed. Using Office 365 on a PC. Help

Running win 11 pro, now only one monitor, do not want Excel to run full screen

Excel icon on taskbar & desktop

able to get as far as Run as administrator

at this point I receive 'do you want to make changes to your device'

suggested instructions stop working at this point

    can't find 'shortcut tab'

therefore, I can't 'drop down beside run, select normal

    1. Right click on any application shortcut and select Properties.
    2. Click on Shortcut tab.
    3. Now, use the drop down beside Run and select the size from Normal windowMinimized and Maximized.
    4. Click on OK.

Normal window remembers the last non-full window setting and opens to that -- every time.

Is there an Excel ShortCut on your desktop? If not, create one.

Not a helpful answer. Since Snap was inflicted on us, there is no way to resize a worksheet. Can't drag from corners, top or bottom.
