Keep (still) getting asked for password for hotmail via iOS Mail app

Similar to the issue that “resolved” 31/01, I am still getting asked for my password, and being told it’s incorrect, when trying to open mail via an app (mail app on iPhone).

I’ve done all the previously identified troubleshooting and can log in fine via outlook app or website.

The issue was resolved for a little while, leading up to and just after the known issues was resolved, but it has started again

I have done this everyday since 24 Jan - still doesn’t work. Also changed password multiple times etc.

Also when the prompt comes up it keeps saying the password is incorrect, when it’s not (ie you can copy and paste and still says the same). Most times if you just keep hitting cancel it will connect and the emails will come through (and when I say keep, it ranges between 4-15 times), sometimes but less often it won’t connect at all and you have to wait around 10 mins and try again and keep hitting cancel and hope emails come through.

This is an ongoing issue that MS said was resolved but I’ve seen many other comments that they are still experiencing the people as well. The original issue was reported as resolved and unsure if MS are looking back into it. At this stage with lack of communication and the ongoing issue I guess il just going to have stop using my email address and start going another provider 😢

    Thank you.

What I wanted was to find out if this was still happening for a majority of people and if MS was still working on it

I found both answers, although the MS one took longer as they were longer

    to act or update.

I appreciate your help! I’ll keep this information if I ever have issues similar (although two weeks of MS Issues are making me think differently).

    Thank you!!!

Then you need to contact Apple support, who doubtless will tell you to contact MS

No. I’m using the mail app from IOS as the outlook app I use solely for a business email

I’ve used this app and account for the past 10 years and have never had an issue until last week when there was an issue identified

Are you using the Outlook app from the App Store, associated with your O365 MS Account?
