I am looking for sentence count. Sentence count means, a sentence ends till full stop (.). For example: A computer's fiction is reliant on software.

Someone may be able to write a macro that does this. However, there are some challenges, because a period in the text doesn't always indicate the end of a sentence. Abbreviations such as "e.g." would be an example of periods that do not mark the end of a sentence.

    Dear Charles Brown,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards the resolution path.

I understand your concern and I would like to suggest you select the sentence in the Word document and click on the Word count at the bottom left as highlighted in the below screenshot to get the number lines for the sentence highlighted in the document: Word Count Analysis:

However, if you are using the Word document in the Word for the web and trying to check for the Lines in the select the sentence, I am sorry to convey that the Document Stats in the Word for the web doesn’t show the number of lines:

If yes, I agree with you having the ability to check the number of lines in the selected sentence via Word for the web will benefit the users and I suggest you to add your valuable idea as feedback in the Word · Community (microsoft.com) which is the best place to share our ideas and improve the Microsoft products.

Moreover, if there is any misunderstanding from our end, we are sorry and request you to share the more detailed information with some screenshots which will help us to better understand and guide you further.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
