No "Remove Background" button in my Microsoft 365 - Powerpoint and I need to remove the photo backgrounds?

Hi,

I'm using Microsoft 356 (Powerpoint)

I want to remove backgrounds on several of my photos but the "picture format" and the "remove background" button aren't there.

The only options is "picture" which only lets you change the images brightness/saturation/transparancy or crop it, neither of which i want.

I asked my tutors but they all have the full version of ppt which has the "remove background" button. Why is this not on 365? several youtube videos all show it being there? is there something in the programme settings i need to change or click to enable it to show up?

thanks

Confusingly Microsoft call BOTH the web version AND the Desktop version Microsoft 365.

If you are using the Web version the top left of the ribbon will have 9 dots like this. If you have the desktop version you will not see 9 dots.

Sounds like you may be using the web based version of Office? This is a cutdown version and does not include many features of the desktop version. (This includes remove background.)_
