Why when I set the cursor on a photograph does the Picture Format not show on my ribbon?

Quite likely it is relative to the image. The image file type isn't much of a factor, it's a matter of how the image may have been handled prior to inserting it into the document.

For verification, what are the Version Numbers of your Office software & the version of macOS?

Bob: I think I only asked the question once. Do you have an answer?

Please don't submit the same issue more than once. See replies to your other posting of this.

It would be appreciated if you'd click the EDIT button at the bottom of your message in ths thread & Delete it.

I'm not sure based on your description but just placing the cursor on the picture is not sufficient. You need to click to select the object in order to activate the appropriate contextual tab.

If you are selecting the object the most likely explanation is that the document window is not wide enough to display all active tabs. In that case the will be a double angle bracket [ 》] following the name of the last visible tab. Click that symbol to choose from the list of active tabs which aren't displayed... Or just widen the window.

I have two 365 Mac word documents on my desktop one of the documents I can highlight the photograph, and the ribbon says Picture Format. The other document I can highlight the photograph and Picture Format does not appear on the ribbon. Why?
