Hi There -

I recently got a Microsoft 365 subscription and don't seem to have access to the MINIFS and MAXIFS functions.

Microsoft® Excel for Mac

Version 16.83 (24031120)

License: Microsoft 365 Subscription

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Jacki

Dear Jacki,

Good day, thanks for querying in this forum. We're happy to help you.

From your description, it seems that you are using Microsoft 365 subscription, however, you cannot find MINIFS & MAXIFS.

If my understanding is right, according to official article, these features are available for the latest version of Microsoft 365 subscription. As shown below:

Since you are using the latest version of Excel, we'd suggest you create a new use profile on Mac then check if the same problem will occur.

At the same time, we also want to confirm with you if the other colleagues have the same problem?

To help narrow down if this issue is related to your account, you can also confirm if this issue occurs in Excel for web.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

Thanks for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Sukie | Microsoft Community Moderator

    Hi Jacki,

I am in the same situation, after checking and ensuring I have the latest version of Excel. Here is what i did:

    1. Go to Applications
    2. Copy and paste Excel : this will create a copy.
    3. Double click on the copy Excel and open any files

Then I have access to maxifs, minifs, lambda...etc that I didn't have before.

I don't know why it worked lol. Hope it will work for you as well.

    Thanks

    Thanh
